The Fred Perry shirt (designed and worn by Fred himself) is Made In England and has been Part of the British subcultural uniform since the 1950s.

Each colourway has its own story and with 20+ colourways to display each season HATCH designed a slick modular grid that could be configured to fit any interior space.

Each shirt is housed within an open fronted acrylic box. The key was getting the shirt to appear suspended and viewable front and back – no ugly fixings or damaging product - so we prototyped a folding board that dropped onto a clear baton, all UV glued for invisible fixing.

Each box was connected and securely spaced using an aluminium barrel with screw in button, all anodised matt black. The baseplates where black steel and modular giving the weight yet flexibility needed.

Once the size was achieved the wall was suspended on adjustable black steel cable giving further flexibility to suit any ceiling height.
