The exclusive collection launched at Dover Street market and HATCH worked with Fred perry to design an installation that showcased all 3 collaborators.
We took inspiration from the the raw and lo-fi style of the film and created a simple yet dominant plywood totem, housing six bevel edged screens to showcase the film.
Silhouetted was the iconic image of REIDS artwork printed direct to steel and laser cut. The figure stood supported by an industrial angle with exposed rivets and brackets.
“I am always happy to collaborate with people who can offer something new,” Reid explains of the project. “I am also very pleased with the way he has taken parts my work and made it his own.”
“The most important thing for me was to make some kind of evocation of a feeling, of a certain world. A mixture of smart dissent and inner calmness. It’s by no means a fashion film.” Peter De Potter
HATCH designed and installed a window scheme in all Fred laurel stores to run alongside the event.
