Following the success of our craft inspired Giraffes we honed the idea of handmade charm in these delightful 2D boats. The hull was cut from Birch ply with a simple clamp to rear. The Sails displayed the brand colours and tactile gold pushpins effortlessly affixed the boats to the undulating bed of dowels.

For store rollout we produced generic baseplates and assigned packs of assorted poles, clearly colour coordinated to give guidance as to the pre-approved window layout.

In the flagship store HATCH went all out designing a 4meter high “Breaking Wave” that crashed over the entrance.

In the arched window above a sea of boats bobbed hypnotically on an animatronic wave of Lo-Fi tension wires, sand bag weights and pullies.
